  It was a fantastic experience learning about the history of akaroa and taking in the beautiful sights. We were lucky enough to see quite a few dolphins, seals, albatrosses and penguins. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. If you only have a few hours there, then this should be at the top of your list.

  We booked a tour & the captain never showed up. Waited with another couple for 30+ minutes until the information center informs us the trip had been cancelled with no reason as to why. Very disappointing.

  The best boat to be on if you wanna see all the animals. Modern boats are much too loud and fast , so they scare off the animals. The Fox II being a wooden boat with a more traditional engine has the advantage that the dolphins still love to approach the bow playfully and ride the wake. Top that off with captain Roy's vast knowledge of Akaroa and you got yourself the trip of a lifetime.
